FAQ

When we read your contributions we always check if they are:
- Personal or intimate. Based on your experience or something that you are passionate about.
- Structured and well-written. We encourage exploring different forms, not sticking to academic standards.
- Political or multidimensional in any another way. Based on something personal, yet also going beyond it, touching on broader issues.Notice that on our website you can already find poetry, short stories, art critiques and different types of essays. Let the form enrich your writing, not constraint it.
For further insights consider reading Tinnitus’ Credo in the About section of the website, and explore works already featured in the Writings section.

Yes, you can send us works in languages other than English. However, if we would decide to publish such a piece, we would also need its translation into English. The publication would feature both, original and translated, versions.
Our aim is not to limit authors’ expression, but simultanously not to exclude readers from understanding. While the original is most of the times more refined than the translation, it is the translation that will be read by most people.
Our editorial team will always be happy to help you producing a satisfactory translation from: Polish, French or Chinese.

Absolutely. We firmly believe that creating is working, and all work deserves to be compensated.
The amount of the compensation varies depending on the length and the quality of the work provided.

We are open to all visual contributions, since we are ourselves exploring the creative direction that we would like to take visuals-wise. Send us your video art, illustrations, graphic designs…
Whatever you consider contributing, remember to keep it personal, original, and overall aligned with Tinnitus’ principals available in our Credo in the About section of the website.
